Provenance Beats "Verified Leads": Why Source Links Matter in Sales Intelligence

August 13, 2026 · Data quality

"100% verified leads." Every vendor writes it. Almost none show you the evidence.

In sales intelligence, the difference between a claim and a proof is provenance: can you open the source, see the record, and confirm the claim yourself? For Chinese medical-device data, that means three things must exist for every lead:

1. An official activity source

The NMPA UDI database publishes checksum-verified release files. If a vendor can't point to the exact record, the "activity" is invented.

2. An independent corporate source

A company's own website or published contact channel. Without it, you have a registry number, not a lead.

3. A retrieval timestamp for each source

A link is only evidence if someone actually checked it recently. A year-old link is archaeology.

Why does this matter for your business? Because your reputation rides on every email you send. One fabricated lead, one outdated contact, one wrong registration claim — and the manufacturer tells everyone in their industry group about the "spam agency." Provenance is risk management, not a nice-to-have.

This is the standard the China MedTech Export Radar is built on. Every paid row must pass an evidence gate: official regulatory source, independent corporate/contact source, retrieval timestamp, confidence grade A or B, and a published business contact. If a source link is broken or a contact is invalid, you report it within 7 days and get a free replacement — because we'd rather stand behind the data than argue about it.

The live product page shows current evidence-passed inventory for each buyer segment. Prices: USD 49 for 10 companies, USD 99 for the full current release, delivered within 48 hours of verified payment.

Don't take our word for it. The free 3-company sample includes source links — open them, check the timestamps, and audit us like you'd audit any vendor.
