You don't need a data team to spot good export prospects from Chinese medical-device filings. You need to know which three signals matter. Here's a 5-minute audit you can run on any company.
Open the current NMPA UDI release and find companies with new device registrations in the last few weeks. Recency is the whole point. A company that filed last month is commercializing now; a company that filed three years ago is not a fresh conversation.
Does the company publish an English name, a corporate website, or an export products page? That's a "will respond" signal. Firms with no English footprint still export, but they're harder to reach and slower to convert.
Check openFDA establishment data. A confirmed FDA registration means the company already manages foreign compliance. For a U.S. Agent, that's either a replacement-agent opportunity or a fast onboarding; for an EU AR, it means the company knows what an agent does and is a better-educated prospect.
That's the whole audit. The hard part isn't the logic — it's the volume. China publishes thousands of records, and most are irrelevant to your practice. Filtering, cross-referencing, and verifying contacts by hand is a weekend project every week.
This is exactly the workflow we automated. The China MedTech Export Radar turns the current NMPA release into a ranked shortlist for each buyer segment, with a published business email, official website, registration references, confidence grade, and a suggested outreach angle. The live product page shows current inventory; 10 companies cost USD 49 and the full evidence-passed current release costs USD 99, delivered within 48 hours of verified payment.
